

Robbie Gene (Pell) Price, a devoted educator, volunteer, and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 1, 2024, in her hometown of Houston, Texas. She was born on June 25, 1939, in Houston, Texas, and graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1957.
Robbie pursued her passion for education, earning teaching degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Corpus Christi State University. Her commitment to learning continued throughout her life.
She spent 20 years as a dedicated English teacher at Aransas Pass High School, where she not only imparted knowledge but also served as a mentor and leader to her students. Robbie's passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, as she also led the school's drill team with enthusiasm and grace.
Outside of her teaching career, Robbie found joy in supporting causes close to her heart. She was a volunteer of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary program, embodying the spirit of service and community. Robbie was also an avid supporter of charities that provided financial assistance to cancer patients.
Robbie's love for life extended to her hobbies and interests. She was an enthusiastic fan of Texas Longhorn football and enjoyed spending time watching football games on television. Robbie also found solace in the pages of mystery novels, losing herself in the intrigue and suspense of each story.
A longtime resident of Rockport, TX, Robbie will be remembered for her kindness, passion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved and the causes she believed in. Her legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Robbie is survived by her children, Cindi Price of Austin, TX, and Tom Price of Houston, TX, as well as her grandchildren, Ashley Price, Brandon Yassine, Brandi Yassine, and Chase Yassine. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Robbie was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Tom Price, Jr., who passed away in 1993, and her parents, M.D. Pell and Eugenia Massey Pell.
A memorial service to celebrate Robbie's life will be held on a future date.
