With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Munoz, age 55, of Corpus Christi, Texas, who left us on April 26, 2025. Born on August 14, 1969, in Corpus Christi, Robert spent his entire life in the city he loved. A proud graduate of Moody High School, Robert went on to work with dedication and humility as a handyman and janitor for Goodwill Industries, GF Projects, and various repair services.
Robert was a man of simple pleasures and deep passions. A true Texan, he was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, and Corpus Christi Hooks—though he’d proudly declare his disapproval of the Houston Texans with a chuckle. He found joy in barbecuing, sipping a cold beer, listening to music, and sharing laughter with loved ones. He loved to wear his flannel shirts and Dallas Cowboys jersey, a signature look for a man whose spirit was as warm and genuine as his smile.
Robert’s greatest joy came from being with family. He adored babysitting his nieces and nephews, fixing electronics for fun, and spending time outside listening to music or watching the game. Whether it was a simple bike ride, a visit to the park, or catching the CC bus, Robert found happiness in the everyday moments. He had a special place in his heart for his sister’s cooking and loved reminiscing about the good old days.
He will be remembered for his compassionate nature, his generosity, his sense of humor, and his fierce loyalty to those he loved. His cooking, his kindness, and his love of music and video games will never be forgotten.
Robert is preceded in death by Isabel Munoz, Oscar Gomez, Samuel Munoz, Luis Munoz, and Manuel Munoz. He is survived by his father, Manuel Munoz Jr., and his siblings: Joel Munoz, Melissa Mondragon, Gilbert Munoz, and Carlos Pantoja.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all of Robert’s nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who brought light into his life and stood by him with love and support.
Though he is no longer with us, Robert’s spirit, laughter, and memories will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, Robert—you will be dearly missed.
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Corpus Christi, 549 Cheyenne St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78405, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM.
