Mr. Segura was born on June 16, 1946 to Carolina Barrera and Alfredo Segura in Corpus Christi, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. As a Marine Gunner in the Vietnam War, he was wounded in battle while saving the lives of his fellow soldiers. Therefore, earning him the Purple Heart medal for his heroic actions on the battlefield. He loved his family, traveling, sporting events, concerts, and delicious seafood. His insight, advice, and jokes will be greatly missed.
Rolando is survived by his loving wife, Ernestina Segura of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Lydia (Juan) Reyes of Louisiana; son, Rolando (Flora) Segura Jr; stepsons, Stephen (Alexis) Flores, Mark Flores, and Sean Flores; daughter, Adrianna (Robert) Gonzales; stepdaughters, Melissa (Regino) Ramirez, Elizabeth (Edward) Turnbull, Monica Flores (Michael Elizade); three grandchildren, Antonio, Anavel, and Vanessa Gonzales; 17 step-grandchildren; one great-grandson, Andre Gonzales, and one step-great-grandchild.
Services will take place at 8:30 a.m. on September 17, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in
Corpus Christi, Texas.
