

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Ronnie lived a life defined by hard work, dedication to family, and a deep sense of responsibility to those he loved. He spent more than 40 years in the oil and gas industry, where he built a respected career and he earned the admiration of colleagues through his hard work, integrity, and commitment.
Ronnie married the love of his life, Sandra Ann Askew, and together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Their partnership was built on love, devotion, and family. Together, they created a legacy that will continue for generations to come.
Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family and watching them grow through the years. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, and fishing, and treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He really enjoyed spoiling them with presents and trips.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Ann; his children, Todd LaBaume and wife Wanda, Ronda McCarthy and husband Scott, Arron LaBaume and wife Christine, Darren LaBaume and wife Kristen and step-sister Beth Butler.
He was a proud grandfather to Jeffrey LaBaume, Katie LaBaume Hernandez (Ryan), Molly McCarthy, Andrew LaBaume (Heather), Zachary LaBaume (Saige), Abby Klimkoski (Garrett), JT Schexnider (Eddie), and Wendy Schexnider (Anthony).
Ronnie was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Lina Hernandez, Maisy Hernandez, Brody LaBaume, Rhilynn LaBaume, Camille LaBaume, Kasen LaBaume, Olivia Hanson, Eleanor Hanson, and Cooper Klimkoski.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dal LaBaume; his sister, Diane Blumrick; his half-sisters, Linda Willis and Shirley Orem; and his stepbrother Al Bushong.
Ronnie’s legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the values he instilled through his example of perseverance, loyalty, integrity, and love. He will be remembered for his strength of character, his dedication to his family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
A private family service will be held.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Ronnie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
