She was born on December 22, 1939 to Isidro and Anita Santana.
Rosa retired as an LVN from Driscoll Children’s Hospital after 40 years plus of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Isidro and Anita Santana; three sisters, Emma Guerrero, Maria Aguilar and Angelita Salinas; one brother, Pedro Martinez; several nieces and nephews.
Rosa is survived by her living husband, Tomas Hernandez, Jr.; one sister, Hilda Castro of Lubbock, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Funeraria Del Angel 549 Cheyenne St. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church,. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
