Rosina Vega, age 76, passed away August 29, 2016. She was born March 3, 1940 to Julian Aguirre Vega and Catalina Oviedo Vega in Taft, Texas. Rosina was raised in Corpus Christi and graduated from Miller High School in 1958. She was retired from the City of Corpus Christi where she worked in Human Resources. Rosina was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith and service to her church. Rosina was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Criselda & Joseph Peterson and Rose Ann & Julian Gonzalez; her son, Ezekiel “Zeke” Elizondo and her grandson, Ezra Gonzalez. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 with entombment to follow in the Mausoleum at Memory Gardens.
