Roy Rojas

Roy is survived by his loving wife Sylvia Rojas; his children, Elizabeth (David Gallegos) and Sara Rojas (Derek Galvan), his grandchildren; Noah and Evelyn Gallegos; and his siblings Robert DeLeon, Lupe Lopez, Chris Jaime, Maria Garcia and Diana Mendoza.

Roy was born in Corpus Christi on June 16, 1954 to Amelia Rojas, and raised by his grandparents Reveriano and Maria Rojas. On September 12, 1980, he married long time sweetheart Sylvia Rojas, with whom he lived happily for 42 years. On October 4, 1983 he welcomed his daughter Elizabeth, and on February 15, 1987 he welcomed his daughter Sara. His two daughters became the most important part of his life.

Roy was a devoted father and husband who loved life and laughter. He shared his love of cars and music with many of his friends and family. He was well known for his storytelling which was often true, and wild jokes that would have people laughing for days. He always welcomed anyone seeking advice, and was a reliable friend when called for help. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A public visitation for Roy will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 7:00 PM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
