Ruben G. Soliz

August 11, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Salome, Jr. and Estela (Garza) Soliz.

Ruben graduated from Roy Miller High School –Class of 1975 “Once A Buc Always A Buc”. While

in High School, he was a member of the Grandeur Senior Club.

Ruben enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, Houston Astros and Corpus Christi

Hooks. He loved to joke around, dance, ride horses and watch western movies.

He was a compassionate, warm and thoughtful man who treasured spending time with family

and friends. We know that Ruben’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Salome Soliz, III.

Ruben is survived by his daughter, Jacque Soliz and his son, Jacob Soliz (Christina Ruhland) from Iowa; sisters,Esther Garza and Doralisa(Jesse) Reyna; brothers, Felix (Mary Lou) Soliz, David Soliz and

Sam Soliz from Sugarland, TX; grandchildren, Jayri Soliz, Jordan Soliz, Lydia Soliz, Ella Soliz,

Gabriella Kapaun, Malcolm Pettiford; other loving family members and friends.

A visitation for Ruben will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at

Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A holy rosary

will occur Friday, March 15, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi,

TX 78415. A mass of Christian burial will occur Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to

11:00 AM at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church., 3210 S. Padre Island Dr.,

Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A rite of committal and interment will occur Saturday, March 16, 2024

from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM at Hebbronville Cemetery, Hebbronville, TX.
