Salvador C. Zambrano

The family of Salvador (Chava) Cuellar Zambrano Jr. sorrowfully announces his passing into God's loving care on March 2, 2025. Our Lord has called His faithful servant home, where he now rests in eternal peace. Salvador was born and raised in Corpus Christi Texas and is preceded in death by his mother Amelia Cuellar Zambrano, father, Salvador A. Zambrano Sr, brother Ysmael (Melo) Zambrano, and sister Celia Narvaez.

Salvador is survived by his wife of 53 years, Olga Zambrano. Also survived by his sisters Elvira Cardona (Amado Cardona), Mary Morris (Dennis Morris), and Janie Lara. He is also survived by his children Josie Buitron (Paul Buitron), Diane E. Rodriguez (Albert Rodriguez), Adan Zambrano (Cindy Zambrano) and Mario Esparza. As well as survived by his seven grandchildren, Zachary Buitron (Amy Buitron), Mario Esparza Jr., Joayden Zambrano, Anaya Zambrano, Robert Jimenez and Juliana Jimenez and one great grandchild Sophia Yvette Buitron.

His unwavering faith guided his actions and inspired those around him. He treated everyone with respect and dignity. He was known for his big heart and the ability to make everyone laugh and feel welcomed. His infectious laugh and warm presence made him a joy to be around. Whether he was fishing, BBQing, watching his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys or helping his neighbors with any yard work, he approached life with generosity and compassion.

Salvador's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and love. His family will forever cherish the memories of his devotion, his willingness to help others, and his joyful spirit. Though he has departed from this earth, his values and teachings will continue to guide those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of his life will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a holy rosary to be recited at 11:00 am and funeral service at 2:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
