Samuel “Sammy” Garcia, Jr., 50, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019. He was born in Corpus Christi on January 3, 1969. Sammy attended Roy Miller High School, Class of 1986. He was self-employed. Sammy was a member of the LGBT Community and had a passion for drag and gambling.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Maria Garcia and his maternal grandmother: Estella Gonzales.
He is survived by his mother: Rosa Garcia and his father: Samuel G. Garcia, Sr. (Linda Garcia.) He is also survived by his brother: Marco Garcia (Lisa Garcia) and sister: Angelica Garcia (David Lopez.) Nephews: Marco Garcia, Jr., Michael Ryan Garcia, Matthew D. Lopez and nieces: Gabriella N. Lopez and Melanee Garcia.
Sammy was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He was known for having a generous heart; consistently placing others before himself. He always maintained a smile despite the circumstance.
Throughout several business adventures he captured the hearts of every individual that crossed his path. He was truly loved. When Sammy wasn’t spending time with his family and friends, he was doing what he did best . . . playing Bacaklara.
As hard as it is to let go, we thank him for the everlasting memories and unconditional love.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Thursday, April 4, 2019 with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, April 5, 2019 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
