Sandra (Sandy) Kay De Leon, age 72, passed away quietly surrounded by her family in Cuero, Texas. She was born July 30, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Homer and Louise Blair, and was raised in Franklin, Ohio. She spent most of her adult life in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she spent her life centered around the people she loved most.
Sandra was a devoted wife and mother, and of the roles she had throughout her life, being a wife and mother is what she was most proud of. She was married to her beloved husband, Frank DeLeon, with whom she shared many years of love and family life.
Throughout her career, she worked in health administrative and reception positions, and was known for her warmth and caring nature. Outside of work and caretaking, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending quality time with her family, tending to gardening, watching Hallmark movies and documentaries, riding with her husband on their motorcycle, and fostering her faith and relationship with God.
Sandy’s greatest passion was her family. She leaves behind a legacy to her husband, Frank DeLeon; their children, Lori Taylor, Adam (Anita) Taylor, Hilda (Julius) Olguin, Katherine DeLeon, and Sydney (Alex) Cherry; their grandchildren, Mariah Mann, Vanessa DeLeon, Adam Isaac Taylor, Andrew Taylor, Nocona Linquist, Samantha Cherry and Sophia Cherry. She also leaves behind her older sister, Cheryl (Butch) White, and her younger brother, Thomas Blair. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and grandson Matthew DeLeon-Hernandez.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
