September 27, 1963 – October 18, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sandra Moreno, who was called home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2026, at the age of 63. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sandra was a beautiful soul whose life was defined by her kindness, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love for her family and everyone blessed enough to know her.
Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was best known for the love she gave others and being an incredible mother to her daughters and a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandson who meant the world to her. Her family was her greatest blessing, and she poured her heart into the people she loved. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed, cared for, and loved. Whether through a warm embrace, words of encouragement, or simply being there when someone needed her, Sandra gave her love freely and wholeheartedly.
One of Sandra’s greatest passions was cooking and baking. She found joy in preparing meals and sweet treats for her family and friends, always putting love into everything she made. Bringing people together around the table was one of the many ways she expressed her love. These simple joys, along with the countless memories shared with family and friends, will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
Sandra was also a cherished member of the Mirador Retirement Community family, where she dedicated six years of her life. Her caring nature and the kindness she shared with others reflected the beautiful person she was.
Above all, Sandra’s Catholic faith was at the center of her life. She was deeply devoted to the Lord and the Blessed Mother and was an active and cherished member of the community at St. Cyril & Methodist Catholic Church. Her devotion to God was evident in the way she lived her life, the love she showed others, and her commitment to living as Christ taught. Through her involvement in her church community, her devotion to prayer, and her loving example, Sandra touched countless lives and helped bring others closer to God. Her faith was not simply something she believed in, but something she carried with her every day. Her love for the Lord and the Blessed Mother was a beautiful reflection of the grace, compassion, and love she shared with everyone around her.
Sandra’s greatest legacy is the love she leaves behind. Her beautiful spirit, generous heart, infectious warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She created memories that will be cherished for generations, taught lessons that will continue to guide her loved ones, and gave a kind of love that will remain in their hearts forever. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through them.
Sandra is preceded in death by her two brothers, Mariano Montoya and Alejandro Mardueño; her grandmother, Raquel Deleon; and her beloved grandchildren, John Anthony and Presley Elianna.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved mother, Eva Deleon; her daughters, Roxanne Moreno, Yvonne Moreno (Jason) and Alyssa Lopez (Aaron); her sisters, Blanca Mardueño, Marisela Montoya, Veronica Lopez, and Nora Montoya; her cherished grandchildren, Jasmin Perez, Eric Madrid, Jadyn Brielle, Amber Perez, and DJ Rivera; her great-grandson, Austin Lopez; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Although our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort in knowing that Sandra is now resting in the loving arms of our Lord. We take comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope that, one day, we will be reunited with her in His heavenly kingdom.
Her hands may no longer prepare the meals we loved, her voice may no longer fill our homes, and her presence may no longer be beside us, but her love will never leave us. She will forever be a part of the hearts she touched, the family she cherished, and the lives she made more beautiful simply by being in them.
Sandra will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever remembered.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
