Suzanna Herrera Carrillo

Suzanna was born on September 24, 1949, in Childress, Texas, to Rodrigo Herrera and Maria Nerio. She graduated from Robstown High School and married the love of her life, Gregorio Carrillo, on May 18, 1973, in Corpus Christi, where they built a loving home and shared many happy years together.

For 30 years, Suzanna worked in the Housekeeping Department at Driscoll Children's Hospital. She took great pride in her work and was admired for her dedication, reliability, and caring nature.

Suzanna found happiness in reading, embroidery, and listening to music. She especially treasured spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, smiles, and playful moments that they will carry with them forever.

She will be remembered as a hardworking, selfless, and compassionate woman whose greatest joy was caring for her family and helping others. Suzanna never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She also had a special love for dogs and always enjoyed having a faithful furry companion by her side.

Suzanna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gregorio Carrillo; her father, Rodrigo Herrera; her mother, Maria Nerio; and her brother, Rodrigo Jr. Herrera.

She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Roxanna (Rene) Broadway and Nickel (Christopher) Parrish; her siblings, Luis (Lucy) Herrera, Raul (Maria) Herrera, Nora Herrera Ruiz, and Melissa Constante; and her beloved grandchildren, Raiden Broadway, Riley Broadway, Maya Parrish, and Luna Parrish.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Christina Serrata for her unwavering love, support, and devotion. Thank you for always being there for your Tia and helping her live a happy, full, and eventful life. Your kindness and care will never be forgotten.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Suzanna's legacy of love, generosity, strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
