Sylvia V. Garcia, 75, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on October 24, 1950, Sylvia will be remembered as a devoted, loving, and resilient woman whose life was marked by steadfast care for those around her. Sylvia was a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sylvia graduated from Miller High School and went on to earn a degree from Del Mar College as a CNA/LVN, reflecting her committed and service-minded spirit.
In 2001, Sylvia married Abel Garcia Jr. in Bishop, Texas,
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Abel Garcia Jr., sons, Martin F. Guzman (Allison Guzman), Marcus R. Guzman, and Michael Guzman (Ana Guzman); her sisters, Pearl De Leon, Rachel Escamilla, and Odie Martinez; her brother, Jesse Valdez; and her grandchildren, Ariana J. Guzman, Alexander Guzman, Michael Elijah Guzman, Maya Guzman.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Valdez; her mother, Odilia Valdez; and her sister, Blanca Sanchez.
