

Ted N. Raub, age 82, passed away January 2, 2024. He was born on March 20, 1941 to Nile and Lena Nicodemus in South Bend, Indiana. After the passing of his parents, he was adopted by William and Mary Raub and eventually moved to Corpus Christi, where he was raised by his mother, Mary, and stepfather, Jerry.
He graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966. He married the love of his life, Wilma, on February 12, 1966. Together, they built an amazing life together, raised 3 children, doted on their grandchildren and were inseparable until her passing in November of 2022.
Ted worked a number of jobs in the oil/refinery industry, owned and was the mechanic for a local service station, and eventually settled on a career as a biomedical equipment technician, until he retired in 2005. Ted was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, bird watching, woodworking, watching the Dallas Cowboys and was involved in local politics. He will always be remembered for his devotion to family, his sense of humor and his ability to fix anything.
Ted is preceded in death by both his biological and adoptive parents, and also his beloved wife of 57 years, Wilma Raub.
Ted is survived by his three children: Kenneth Raub, Chris Raub and Karen (John) Bowles, his grandchildren: Andrew (Deena), Kimberly, Jack, Chase, Mason, Zane, Megan, Sara and Alexander, and one great-grandchild: Emmy Lou.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd., on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with Graveside service to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 Ih 37 Access Rd., at 1:00 pm.
