Tereso married the love of his life, Norma Rodriguez, on April 5, 1964, in Corpus Christi. Together they built a life rooted in family, faith, hard work, and countless cherished memories.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Tereso spent his career in industry and janitorial work, notably with Briner Paint Company and later retiring from Wilcox Furniture. He took pride in every task placed before him and was known for his meticulous attention to detail.
Tereso had many passions that brought color and joy to his life. He was an avid sports lover, especially devoted to the Dallas Cowboys win or lose. He enjoyed music of all kinds, especially dancing to Tejano and conjunto, and had an impressive knowledge of music trivia. He collected caps of every theme and color, enjoyed playing pool and bingo, spent time on a bowling league, and built bikes from scratch.
One of his family’s favorite memories was seeing Tereso attend a Dallas Cowboys game in person. He smiled ear to ear the entire day, proudly posing for pictures in front of the stadium. The look on his face was priceless as he took in the scenery—pure joy in its most genuine form.
Tereso will always be remembered for his beautiful penmanship, the careful way he color-coordinated his caps to his shirts, and the pride he took in presenting himself. His thoughtful nature, gentle humor, and deep love for his family were evident in everything he did.
He is preceded in death by his parents and many beloved family members, including: Braulio Jimenez (father), Leonor Jimenez (mother), Cruz Jimenez Lopez (sister), Gregoria Jimenez Ramirez (sister), Maria Jimenez Estrello (sister), Francisca Jimenez DeLeon (sister), Eusevia Jimenez Garza (sister), Angelita Jimenez Ayala(sister), Angel Jimenez(brother), Ramon Jimenez (brother), and Julian Jimenez (son), among others.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Norma Rodriguez Jimenez, and their children: Julie Stansel (Moises Picasso), daughter Jessica Hinojosa (Elias), son Jaime Jimenez.
He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Brandon Stansel, Jordan Rivas (Robin), Nathan Stansel, Sierra Jimenez, Kayla Stansel, Aiden Jimenez, Elena Hinojosa, Emily Hinojosa, Emma Hinojosa, and great-grandchild Azalea Rivas.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the Angel Bright Hospice staff, especially Bryan Gutierrez, for their exceptional care, compassion, and support.
Tereso’s legacy lives on in the love he shared, the memories he created, and the gentle kindness he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
