Thomas Coleman, age 78, son of Emilio and Ascencion Coleman was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 14, 1946. He was a graduate of Roy Miller High School and enlisted in the US Army at the height of the Vietnam War. Upon completing his tour in the US Army, he enlisted in US Marine Corp where he served proudly as Gy Sgt. for 22 years. After his retirement from the US Marine Corp he worked in a supervisory position for the City of Corpus Christi, eventually retiring.
Thomas was extremely generous, loyal, honest and had many friends. He loved to dance and will be dearly missed by many.
He is survived by his wife; Lily Coleman, daughter; Christina Coleman, stepchildren; Lilia, Lean, Lonnie, John and Jason Zapata, two sisters; Petra and Janie.
Public visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. and follow with interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
