Tomas M. Tovar, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on June 10, 2021. He was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico on April 15, 1935. He graduated from Colegio Alvaro Obregon and received his Bachelor degree in Commercial Business.
He married the love of his life, Elvia S. Tovar on August 31, 1964.
Tomas worked as a pipe fitter for various oil & gas companies and retired in 1997.
He was a member of Iglesia Puerta De Restauracion. He had a passion for fishing, traveling, reading his western novels and reading the Bible on a daily basis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 1 daughter.
He is survived by his wife, Elvia S. Tovar; children, Dora (David) Pachnowski, Ezekiel (Cole) Tovar, Mireya (Fady) Shaheen, and Veronica (Chris) Herrera; grandchildren, Ariana (Domingo) Ramos, Caitlin Tovar, Jordana Shaheen, Nichaela Shaheen, Elysia Herrera and Rori Tovar; great-granddaughter, Adalyn Grace Ramos; sister, Maria Luisa Salazar Tovar.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service.
