Valena Love

Valena Mae Martin Love, 82, of Calallen Texas went to be with the Lord on October 5th, 2020. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 3rd, 1938 to Edgar Louis and Jesse Mae Martin of Corpus Christi . Valena shared a rich and rewarding life with her husband Billy for 64 years.

Valena had a passion for her family and friends. She loved family gatherings, was a terrific cook and loved to play the slot machines in Elko and Coushatta . She had numerous friends and neighbors throughout her life that she enjoyed spending time with.

Valena was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Sister, Cousin, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Neighbor and Friend. She will be missed by all.

Valena was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Louis and Jesse Mae Martin, her brother Clyde “Sonny” Martin , sister-in-law Deidra Martin and her son-in-law, Mike Snyder. She is survived by her husband, Billy F Love, her sister Sandra White (Dennis) and her sister-in-law Pauline Rabe, 5 children, Cindy Graves (John), Tracy Ratliff (Chris), Bonnie Snyder, Becky Sullivan (Scot) and Randy Love (Shelley), 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family wishes to thank all her caregivers for their kindness during her final days.

A Private Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens on October 13th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
