Velma G. Guajardo

Surviving her are her parents, Claudio N. and Aurora Benavides Villarreal; one daughter, Meaghan Llyce Guajardo of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Justin Matthew Guajardo of Austin, Texas and their father Robert E. Guajardo of Robstown, Texas. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Mary (Jeff) Bowman of Sugarland, Texas and Analisa Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Texas; 2 brothers, Omar Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Texas and Jordan Aaron Villarreal of Austin, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.

Relatives and friends are invited to remember Velma at her burial to be held at Falfurrias Burial Park in Falfurrias, Texas at 1:00 p.m.

The family wishes to thank all the Drs., nurses, and spiritual service personnel who were so caring during Velma’s illness. Special thanks to Laura M. Ramirez, Vanessa Benavides, Uncle Oscar, Aunt Vera Lopez, Aunt CiCi Garza, Diane Luna, and special friend Debra De Los Santos.

A luncheon will be held after interment services at the parish hall across the street from Sacred Heart Church in Falfurrias, Texas; all friends and relatives are invited.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be her brother, Jordan Villarreal, cousins, Marco Benavides, David Benavides, Adrian Galvan, Oscar L. Martinez and godson, Joshua De Los Santos. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be cousins Onofre Garza and Raul Ramirez.
