Vicenta Ahumada Medina

On August 23, 1953, she married her late husband, Juan Medina whom she shared a long 50 years of marriage with. Together they created a loving home, full of children and they enjoyed every minute of watching their children grow and create lives of their own.

Vicenta was a devoted wife and mother, a loving mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She attended many Church activities, was a devoted Christian to all she met and always made sure her children knew the word of God. She valued time with her family and always enjoyed her family vacations. She always knew what to do and was willing to sacrifice to keep her family united and strong. She will be dearly missed by all her family and to all those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan M. Medina; son, Juan Jose Medina; sisters, Rosa and Maria; and brother, Miguel.

Vicenta is survived by her sister, Juana Ahumada of Hidalgo, TX; her daughters, Gracie Trevino of Corpus Christ, TX, Patricia and husband, Charles Salinas of Corpus Christi, TX, Anna and husband, Paul Hoyt of Kirkland, WA, Josie Medina of Beaumont, TX, Elizabeth and husband, Ray Mancilla Jr. of Corpus Christi, TX and Lucy and husband, Joe Felan of Beaumont, TX; son, Ignacio David and wife, Mona Medina of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter-in-law, Estella Medina of Agua Dulce, TX; grandchildren, Josie, Melissa, Estella, JJ, Vanessa, David, Isaiah, Elaine, Erica, Beau, Mark, Ray, JD, Isac, Ian, Marie, Ashly; 30 Great Grandchildren with two on the way in February and March 2017 and 2 great-great grandchildren.

We will forever keep our memories of you and the love you showered us with in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Eulogy to begin at 6:30 p.m. and a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
