

Victoria Castillo Arredondo, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. She was born on March 23, 1925 in Dinero, Texas to Vicente and Victoria Arellano Castillo. Victoria will always be remembered for her devotion to family and friends, her love of festive celebrations and as a very joyful person who loved everyone, especially those who touched her life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending quality time with loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro R. Arredondo, Jr.; parents, Vicente and Victoria Arellano Castillo; sons, Conrado Arredondo, Pedro Arredondo III, Israel and Ismael Arredondo; brothers, Manuel and Marcelino Castillo and sister, Maria Castillo.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Alfredo (Maria E.) Arredondo of Placedo, Texas and Juan (Raquel) Tovar; daughters, Emma (Vicente) Salazar, Diolanda (Jose) Martinez, Manuela (Robert) Lopez, Oralia (Paul) Carranza, Belia Arredondo, Amelia (Lorenzo) Lara, Maria Luisa (Daniel) Prado, Minerva (Guadalupe) Suarez all of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rosalinda (Alfredo) Garza from Harlingen, Texas and Maria Teodosita (Arnoldo) Rivera of Jacksonville, Florida, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening at Funeraria del Angel (549 Cheyenne St.).
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:30 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (3350 S. Alameda) with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park (2731 Comanche).
