

Viola was a loving wife to Thomas L. Grace, Sr., for sixty-six years and a devoted mother of four. Mrs. Grace served her community through volunteer work at Southside Community Hospital and served with the Nueces County Sheriff’s Ladies Auxiliary. Graduating from Orange High School and Orange Business College, she was proud to work in the Orange Naval Shipyard during WWII. Her joy was being a homemaker with open arms to all people, friends, and family. A proud Texan, Mrs. Grace was known to others for being patriotic and prideful of her husband and grandchildren who served in the United States Army, Navy and Marine Corp.
Mrs. Viola Grace will be sorrowfully missed. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Grace-Houx and Louanne Grace-Heath (Richard Heath); grandsons, George Krest (Susan Krest) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Christopher Krest (Lisa Krest) of Idledale, Colorado, Lance Cpl. Jordan Grace and Christopher Grace both of Corpus Christi; granddaughter, Kaitlin Grace also of Corpus Christi, her special friend, Sheila Grace, daughter-in-law, Sue Lynn Grace along with loving nephews Allen Worthy and Roger Worthy. There are five great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, Thomas L. Grace, Sr. and sons, Paul Grace and Thomas L. Grace, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2012 also at Cage-Mills. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
