Virginia S Maza (Virgie) was finally reunited with the love of her life on January 12, 2021. Her beloved husband of 60 years, Isaac Maza, died in 2018 and Virgie spent the last two years missing him dearly. She passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021 at the age of 86. Virgie is preceded in death by her mother Amalia, her husband Isaac, and her daughters Maria, and Melinda. She is survived by 4 children, Sylvia, Victor, Isaac Jr. and Molly. Virgie was a devout Catholic and her daily rituals included praying for all her loved ones as well as others.
Virgie was born on May 21, 1934 in Rotan, Texas; however, lived most of her life in Corpus Christi. She had many talents including painting, sewing, and entertaining others. She doted her family and was the happiest when we all surrounded her. Once grandkids came along Gina, Ashley, Isaac, Teresa, Desirae, and Erika her interests shifted to entertaining them and being their biggest fan. Virgie also had 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was very protective of her loved ones, not to be fooled by her small stature. She enjoyed talking to them, giving them advice, and supporting them in their sports. Most of all, she taught them the true meaning of family; love, loyalty and respect. She will always be remembered for her famous words, “all for one and one for all; blood cousins”.
Virgie embraced being a mother and welcomed any outsiders to call her mom. For all who knew her, she will be greatly missed. She has left behind many beautiful memories and life lessons which we will hold close to our hearts as we continue to celebrate her life long after she is gone.
Interment for Virginia will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78408-3841.
