

Viveca Elaine De La Pena passed away on September 17, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 20, 1979 to her proud parents, Amado and Maria De La Pena. Her legacy will live on through her family and children.
Viveca strongly believed in living life to the fullest, “living la vida loca”. She was a Ray High School and Del Mar College graduate. She went on to take care of others with a life long career as a Registered Nurse. She traveled all over the world helping and caring for patients, and even spent time on the east coast during covid. Her biggest passion was working with children, especially at Driscoll Hospital and with Home Health Care. Viveca was a remarkable daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece and friend.
She especially enjoyed days spent time having family over and watching her team, the Dallas Cowboys. Viveca also enjoyed her meal creations and cooking.
Viveca is reunited with her paternal grandparents, Maria Lucia and Amado De La Pena Jr.; uncle, Humberto “Chico” Trevino (Kerri), favorite uncle, Homer Trevino; and her furr companion Romeo.
She leaves to cherish her memories her parents, Marie and Amado De La Pena Sr.; her daughter, Bella A. Garza; her son, Jude A. Garza; brother, Jaime De La Pena (Yvette); her number one inspiration in life maternal grandfather, Humberto Trevino; her favorite aunts, Virginia Trevino, Sandra “Eddie” Salinas; her Godmother, Laura Villarreal; niece, Madalynn De La Pena. She also leaves a host of extended family and friends.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to her friends that never left her side, Michelle Gallagher, Cindy Duncan, Mari Garcia, and Janelle De Anda.
