Walter "Walt" John Petrusic, age 88, of Pharr, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born in Chisholm, Minnesota, on July 8, 1936, to parents, John Petrusic and Bernice Petrusic.
Walt went on to graduate from St. Cloud State University in 1963, with a Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He was united in holy matrimony to his wife, Norma Petrusic on December 17, 2011, in Harlingen, Texas.
Walt was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and was even in a Motorcycle Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, dancing, traveling with his beloved wife, and reading books. Norma fondly reminisces on the trips her and Walt would take to Minnesota every six months. They would stop at different points that seemed interesting and loved to sight see together.
Walt is reunited with his son; father, John Petrusic; and mother, Bernice Carson. He leaves his legacy to his cherished wife of 14 years, Norma Petrusic; daughter, Karen McNeal; four grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to San Juan Nursing Home and all the staff, as well as their family for all the love and care provided to them during this difficult time.
