

Ms. Wanda "Sally" Green, age 80, resident of Corpus Christi, Texas went to be with our Lord April 26, 2014 after a short illness. She was born November 1, 1933 in Waco, Texas to Velma and Edward Johnson. Wanda was employed by Roosevelt Baker for 39 years before retiring at the age of 65. Wanda was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, Gigi, Nanny, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Wanda was a member of Grace Community Church. Wanda was full of life and had an un-measurable faith in God. She enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood, loved to cook and liked to play card games. During the holidays she enjoyed making hot chocolate and popcorn for the children to enjoy in front of the Christmas tree. During the Summer she would always make slushes for all the neighborhood children. Wanda will be greatly missed and we will honor her memory by celebrating her extraordinary life filled with an abundance of love. Her loving and caring nature, as well as her compassion for others will be remembered by all.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Edward Johnson, her brother Donald Headley and her sister Rosie Davis.
Wanda leaves behind to cherish her memory her children; Bunny Scott, Dee Foster (Larry), Randy Scott, Tammy Lovelady, Rene’e Parker (Bill), Bobbie Lee Walsh (Johnny) and Dana Richardson, 17 Grandchildren and 29 great Grandchildren.

Wanda's life of celebration will be held with a visitation on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow.
