Wesley Mack Herring, 77, of Corpus Christi Texas passed away on April 7, 2021. He was born in the small country community of Box Church, TX. Wesley served in the US Army where he received his GED Diploma.
He was married to Dorothy Barbee Herring and the two of them raised their family in Corpus Christi. They were blessed to be married for over 50 years. Wesley’s career endeavors included Mechanics, Towing, and commercial and residential rental properties. He didn’t have a lazy bone in his body. He had a heart for God and a real passion for antique cars and his family. He enjoyed being outdoors, eating his sweets, and telling many stories mainly about family and cars. He loved everyone he met and was a father-figure to so many. He was well-known as being generous to a fault, and always willing to share his time, wisdom and ingenuity with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Geneva Cole, his Father Sam Herring, his brothers Larry, Kenneth and Carl Herring. He will be greatly missed by his wife Dorothy Herring; his children Michael and his wife, Jeanne Herring, Larry and his wife, Danielle Herring, Christine and her husband, Daniel Puckett; his grandchildren Logan and his wife, Amber Herring, Luke Herring, Abbie Herring, Levi Herring, Zachary Herring, Samantha Herring, Jacob Klyzub, Daniel Allen Puckett Jr., Allison Puckett; his brother Donald “Doc” and his wife Melba Herring, his sister-in-law Pat Herring, Tiger Barbee and Philip Barbee whom he helped raise as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Wesley’s viewing will be on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 4pm for Family and 5pm for Friends. Funeral Services will be Wednesday April 14, 2021 at 11am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi TX. Graveside services to follow.
