Wilbur Hilliard passed away on January 28, 2022 at the age of 82, in his retirement town of North Padre Island, Texas. His battle with serious medical issues in the recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile despite the pain, Bill came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
He was a retired truck driver and in his retirement years he started doing taxes and was known as the Tax Man. He also took everyone that came to visit fishing. He loved to fish and tell many stories about fishing. He loved the ocean!
He loved to tell riddles and talk about history and current events. Fox News or the Weather Channel was always on.
He opened his home to anyone that needed it. He loved to cook for everyone and didn’t need any help in the kitchen. “My kitchen, my rules”.
Bill is survived by his beautiful wife, Deborah; four daughters Crickett, Tammy, Jennifer and Jessica; seven grandchildren; sister Rose, nieces Ann and Andrea; and a great niece and great nephew.
Bill never liked being the center of attention and per his wishes there will be no services.
