Zoila Luz Divina Lopez

Luz Divina was born to Ramiro V Gonzalez and Eloida Canales Gonzalez on August 3, 1946. She was raised in Rios Texas and graduated from Premont High School. In 1966 she married Andres Alvaro (Varo) Lopez and moved to Corpus Christi Texas where she spent the next 60 years raising her family.

Luz Divina is preceded in death by her son, Arnaldo (Ernie) Lopez. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Varo. She is also survived by her son Andy A (Janie) Lopez, daughter Linda L Lopez, and daughter in law Bernice Lopez. Grandchildren Joshua Lopez, Niki Gonzalez, Andrew Lopez, Richard Rodriguez, Lily Rodriguez, Jason Lopez, Eric Lopez, and Ryan Vasquez and one great-grand child, Nova Gonzalez

She is also survived by her brothers Wally, George, Ricky, Joel, and Lalo Gonzalez and sisters Eva Hinojosa, Anna Recio, and Eloida Villanueva as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Monday July 13, 2026, at 10 am with Fr Romero Salinas officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Rodriguez, Jason Lopez, Eric Lopez, and Ryan Vasquez. Special bouquet of roses presented by Lily Rodriguez.
