

Arthur was born in Albany, New York, on February 28, 1931 to the late John and Florence (Salway) Kenney. In April of 1948, Arthur enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as an airplane electrician on the U.S.S. Wasp Carrier until he was honorably discharged in May of 1953. He then attended and graduated from the Hudson Valley Community College. Arthur spent many years working for Clow Corporation, first as an engineer and then as an office and production manager. On December 27, 1997, he married Sandra “Sandy” Cox.
Along with his wife, Arthur is survived by his three children: Craig S. (Coessa) Kenney, David J. (Amy) Kenney, and Karen M. (Randy) Mahon; nine grandchildren: Amanda (Jerry) Angelo, Jr., Seth Roof, Adam (Sarah) Kenney, Candace (Cory) Chapman, Michael Bailey, Lesa (Poli Amador) Kenney, Leslie (Brad) Fuller, Michael Kenney, and Jason (Faith) Murphy; seven great-grandchildren: Jayden, Joseph, Kimberly, Alex, Kyleigh, Korben, Kaleb, Jaiden, Jozlyn, Dominic, Alton, and Daniel; three brothers: John Kenney, Steven Kenney, and Bob Kenney; and two sisters: Mary Wilkie and Pat Devine.
Along with his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by his former wife, Gertrude Kenney, his daughter, Lesa Burris, his brother, Joe Rinn, and his two sisters, Christine MacAlister and Sharyn Brown.
A memorial service for Arthur will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. The Coshocton County Honor Guard will conduct a walkthrough at the start of the memorial service. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
