My heart hurts, but many years of wonderful memories fill my mind. Our son was blessed to have grown up knowing her as Grandma Betty. Another favorite is that every year when the lilacs bloomed Betty would bring me enough lilacs to fill several containers.
There are more great memories than I could ever count all because this lovely woman welcomed us into her family.

“What is lovely never dies, but passes into another loveliness, star-dust or sea-foam, flower or winged air.” —Thomas Bailey Aldrich

I have fond memories of summer time swimming on the farm and exploring the back living room of Grandma's treasures.
