Daniel T. Aron, age 95, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013. He was born in Coshocton on April 17, 1917, to the late Daniel and Rose (Nagy) Aron.
In 1939, Dan joined the Canadian Army and served until 1945. He retired from General Motors in Detroit after many years of service. Dan and his wife Catherine owned two restaurants one of which was McCoys on 6th Street in Coshocton for many years. He enjoyed carpentry and spending time with his family.
Dan is survived by his brother, John (Jean) Aron of Coshocton and many niece and nephews. Along with his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his wife Catherine who passed away on August 23, 2008; step-daughter, Sandra Robinson; half -brothers, Bill Ugie, Frank Ugie, and Jim Ugie; and half-sister, Rosetta Potter.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 1-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
