After high school, Danny joined the United States Navy, serving on a submarine until being Honorably Discharged in 1974. Danny worked for GE for many years and was an Herbalist, hunting ginseng and mushrooms.
Danny is survived by his brothers Timothy (Diane) Tate and John Tate; sister, Patti Carroll; nephews, Dustin Carroll, Ian Rice and Ivan Rice; and the Moore Family in Massillon, Ohio.
Per Danny’s wishes, a cremation will take place with a memorial service being held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew’s AME. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery at 2 p.m. with the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home, 186 Park Ave., Coshocton, Ohio 43812, to help defray cost.
