

David A. Wolfe, age 68, of Coshocton, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio, on Friday, January 3, 2014 and is heaven bound. David was born on April 24, 1945, in Coshocton, to the late Cassell V. and Mary Marjorie (Dawson) Wolfe.
He served in the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor from 1963 to 1966. Before becoming disabled, he was a sign artist and owner of Wolfe Sign and Screen for 28 years and Wolfe Tool and Supply. David attended Solid Rock Four Square Church of Coshocton. He was a member of the United States LST Association, US Navy LST 1143, the Coshocton Sportsman Club, the National Rifle Association, and The Sugarcreek Valley Coon and Beagle Club; he served as President of Willscreek Area Conservation Club of Ohio and the former Briar Patch Beagle Club. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, but most of all, beagling with his beloved four legged kids; Maverick, Cody, Gracie, Buttons, Joey, Sumo, and granddog, Peanut.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia A. Wolfe; son David (Kathie) Wolfe II of Owensboro, KY; daughter, Tricia A. Wolfe of Canal Winchester; two grandchildren, David A. Wolfe III and Makenzie Wolfe of Owensboro, KY; sister, Jean Ann (John) Olinger of Coshocton; aunt, Dorcas Denham of Bucyrus; nephews Dick Grier of Coshocton, Eugene (Leigh Ann) Ames of West Lafayette, and Eric (Linda) Ames of Coshocton; and nieces, Sheila Kincer of Coshocton and Sabrina (Chad) Moran of Frazeysburg.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his grandparents, sister, Rita A. Harsh; one niece and one nephew.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Solid Rock Four Square Church, 46160 County Road 55, Coshocton, with Pastor Larry Massie officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with the Coshocton County Veterans Council performing Military Honors. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from 4-7:00 pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home.
