

Harold I. Albertson, age 93, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Harold was born on December 29, 1922 in Coshocton County to the late Claude and Rosemond (Dawson) Albertson.
Harold graduated from Coshocton High School in 1939 and then entered the United States Army Air Corp in 1943 serving his country until 1945. On May 11, 1946, he married Mary (Cross) Albertson who survives.
Harold worked for Clow for 25 years and then he and his wife owned and operated Mary and Harold’s Restaurant on Main Street for many years. Harold eventually retired from the State Highway Department. He was a life member of the Elks; enjoyed golfing, wood working, bird watching, gardening, camping, and boating; but most importantly he loved spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, Mary, of 70 years, Harold is survived by his three children, Michael (Sharon Ison) Albertson of Grove Port, Ohio, Randy (Linda) Albertson of Coshocton, and Kristy (Greg) Lillibridge of Coshocton; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Travis, Tyler, Ryan, and Michelle; seven great-grandchildren, Alexis, Meagan, Cody, Allen, Kolby, Gavin, and Landon; sister, Priscilla (Ron) McCann of Coshocton, several nieces and nephews; and his special companion, Buster.
Along with his parents, Harold is preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Dale Albertson and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 11:00 to 12:00 pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery with the Coshocton County Honor Guard performing military services.
