Helen Louise Roeger, age 85, of Coshocton, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011. She was born on June 26, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Mildred (Weffing) Roeger. Louise graduated from Belleview High School in Pittsburgh and then received her bachelor’s degree from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Louise worked for Mellon Back in Pittsburg as a Manager in the Trust Department and later as the Vice President for over 40 years before retiring. She was a member of the Deaf Ministry at Grace United Methodist Church. She was an active member at North Minister Presbyterian Church in Belleview, PA, where she sang for the choir and was also rang bells in the bell choir. Louise was a world traveler, where she enjoyed visiting China, Israel, South America, Africa, Australia, and Europe. She enjoyed playing the piano and cello, spending time with her family but most of all enjoyed life. She is survived by her three nephews, Carl (Cindy) Roeger, of Coshocton, whom she resided with the past 18 months, David (Deborah) Roeger of Mohegan Lake, NY, and James (Janice Hogrefe) Roeger of Columbus; four great-nephews, Kyle Roeger of Brooklyn, NY, Johnathan (Gretchen) Roeger of Delaware, OH, Michael (Hilary) Roeger of Cridersville, OH, and Matthew Roeger of Brooklyn, NY; and best friend, Sue Grove of Pittsburgh, PA. Along with her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brother, Richard E. Roeger. A celebration of Louise’s life will take place at Grace United Methodist Church on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 7:00 pm with Reverend Jan Coffman and David Carpenter officiating. Internment of cremains will be in Smithville East End Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of Coshocton.
