Jackie “Jack” Carroll Saylor, age 87, of Coshocton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. He was born February 15, 1938 to the late George Saylor and Norene (Lewis) Saylor-Cunningham in Wolf, Ohio.
On December 29, 2019, he married Janice Conkle-Saylor at Roscoe United Methodist Church. He also attended the Coshocton Alliance Church.
Jack took a lot of pride in everything he did, especially when it came to work. He was self-employed at Duff Plumbing and a supervisor at Jones Metal. He was also incredibly proud of the house he’d built. Outside of work, Jack was a lover of antique cars and thrifting, specifically when it came to shopping with his wife in both Florida and Ohio. He was a major jokester, and always had to buy a hat for his collection while out shopping. Most importantly, Jack adored flying with his friends, and always bragged about their dining experiences in various states.
Jack is survived by his wife, Janice Saylor of Coshocton, Ohio; his daughter, Kristy (Duane) Patterson of West Lafayette, Ohio; his stepchildren, Debbie (George) Dickson of Coshocton, Rick (Nancy) Conkle of Coshocton, Tammy (Steve) Holdsworth of Coshocton, Mick Conkle of Coshocton, and Kimberly (Scott) Thorley of Plain City, Ohio; his grandchildren, Kara (Nathan), Travis (Becky), and Dustin (girlfriend Emily); his great-grandchildren, Thea, Oliver, Eleanor, Abigail, and Isabella; his step-grandchildren, Jason, Christopher (Erin), Angela Danielle (Phil), Brendan, Adam (Lindsay), Kristin (Brett), JR (Jenny), Malissa (Donnie), Amber, Ryan (Thy), Tyler (Lindsey), Megan (Darrin), Noah, Avery, and Mya; and many step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his good “flying” friends, Dr. Carver and Donis Emslie, as well as several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Ray Cunningham; eight brothers and sisters; and his first wife.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
In tribute to Jack’s spirit and personal style, the family invites guests to wear their favorite baseball cap in his memory.
