He was born on March 25, 1941 in Coshocton to the late James G. and Leona (Banks) Almack. James worked for 40 years at Lucent Technologies before retiring in 2001.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jamie (Almack) Simcox of Columbus and Rachael (Steven) Painter of Delaware; five grandsons, Roy (Whitney) Bowman of Mount Vernon, Travis Loudermilk of Columbus, Dakota Mendoza of Columbus, Michael and Jakob Painter of Delaware; one great-granddaughter, Kairi (loudermilk) Rausenburg; two step great-grandchildren, Byron Mizer of Mount Vernon and Brandalynn Mizer of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Margaret (Almack) Cullison of Coshocton and Kathleen (O’Nack) King of Oregon; two brothers, Charles Wilhelm of Newark and Edward Almack of Keene.
Preceded in death are two sisters, Joan June Almack of Coshocton and Mary (Almack) Howell of Coshocton and one brother, Robert Almack of Coshocton.
Calling hours will be at the Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1pm. An hour of calling hours will be held before the service on Friday. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
