James (Jim/Jimmy) was born on January 19, 1953 to Earl and Coleen McCullough. A lifelong resident of Coshocton, OH, he dedicated his life to his family and his faith. He was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church and retired from AEP.
Jim preferred not to say “goodbye,” but “see you later” instead. He stood firm in the knowledge that there never has to be a final goodbye, rather a pause, until we all meet again. His faith in God was strong, he enjoyed sharing the word and wanted nothing more than to encourage a strong faith in his family.
Jim believed in kind words, he never left those he cared about without telling them he loved them and was proud of them.
Jim loved to play a solid game of golf, but put him behind the controls of a machine built to move dirt, and he was truly in his element. He loved nothing more than playing in the dirt, leaving his mark wherever he went. Oh, the landscapes he saved! He always made birthday signs, organized the best Easter egg hunts, encouraged banging pots and pans on New Years and started the 4th of July fireworks tradition. He enjoyed taking rides on country roads and listening to music, he once was even in a band - The Zookeepers Union.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Theresa. His children, Julie of NY, Michelle (Jason) Robertson of Zanesville, Jaime (Scott) of St. Clairsville and Brent (Kathryn) of Coshocton. His grandchildren, Elyssa (Austin), Makenzie (Paiden), Jaxson, and Lyla. Great grandchildren Kohen, River, and Maeve. Jennifer Anne Henery, who was like a daughter to him. Brothers Mike (Marilyn), AZ, Kenny (Sandy), OH, and Larry, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Coleen, his brother Johnny, son Mike Renner, and sister-in-law Carmen McCullough.
