Kenneth C. Kohman, 88, formerly of Conesville, passed away in Centersburg, Ohio at the home of his granddaughter, Lyndsey (Colt) Patterson, on Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was born in Millersburg on December 15, 1924 to the late Albert and Zeta (McBrier) Kohman. Kenneth graduated from Conesville High School before joining the army. He served in Germany in World War II from July 13, 1944 to June 21, 1946. On December 7, 1946, he married M. Pauline Pepper, who survives. Kenneth was an owner/operator of Kohman Bros. Trucking, and worked for W.P. McCarren, before retiring as manager of Valley Concrete. He served 16 years as a Franklin Township Trustee, was a founding member of the FCV Fire Department, was a member of Conesville United Methodist Church, a life member of the Coshocton Elks, a life member at the Coshocton VFW 1330, and a member of Masonic Lodge 103 in Dresden: Royal Arch Mason Samaritan Chapter 50 Coshocton, Royal Select Mason of Ohio Coshocton Council 110, Scottish Rite (Valley of Cambridge), and Coshocton Shrine Club. In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by two sons, Royce (Betsy) Kohman, and Nelson Kohman; one daughter, Lisa (Greg) Walters; seven grandchildren, Seth (Kim) Kohman, Brian (Amanda) Kohman, Aaron (Kathryn) Kohman, Lyndsey (Colt) Patterson, Adam (Katrina) Kohman, Shawn Walters, and Tyler Kohman; four great grandchildren, Gage, Reese, Hayden and James Kohman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his brother, Russell Kohman. Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 and one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will take place in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Joy Blaney officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
