OBITUARY

Mark James Sheneman

February 9, 1958February 16, 2018

Our most beloved, Mark Sheneman, passed away in his home on February 16, 2018 at the age of 60 from an aneurysm. He graduated from The Ohio State University and has always been a big Buckeye fan, even in the state of Michigan (that team up north!), where he worked for Quality Farm and Fleet and lived with his fiancée, Anette Buchholz.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Sheneman of Detroit, his grandson Landon Sagala of Muskegon, and his four sisters, Christine Fleming of Canal Lewisville, OH., Renee (Leonard) Puzzuoli of Doylestown, PA., Carol (Duane) McElhaney of Fresno, OH., and Jan (Steven) Leavengood of West Lafayette, OH. There are also 8 nephews and 2 nieces, and several great-nephews and great-nieces.

Mark is predeceased by his parents, Jeanetta (Mizer) and James Sheneman, his daughter, Amber (Sheneman) Sagala, and his grand-daughter, Aubrey Sagala.

Mark was one of a kind and as one of his friends said, “He will be missed but never forgotten.”

Mark’s wishes were to have a private burial in Ohio with immediate family. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and caring.

My favorite memories of Mark were lit by the glow of a campfire. It was always time where the pain and anguish of the outside world melted away with the camaraderie of brothers and brew. Mark's gruff, scouring-pad of an exterior thinned and the warm, compassionate and caring soul always shined through. While he was always a great participant in high-jinx, he was a prolific creator of solid friendships and life-long memories.

I was lucky enough to have spent many sunny afternoons wading the waters of streams with Mark trying to land trout. While the trout usually slipped through our fingers, the memories did not. I consider myself a beneficiary of many quality hours spent with Mark. He was a true original and a gift to every person he considered a friend.

I'll miss you, brother.

Renee, Chris, Carol and Jan- I am so very sorry to hear about Mark. He was like a brother to me. He could be annoying and ornery when he wanted to be! Mark was a sweetheart though. May happy memories remain. Blessings to all of you.
