

Martha Rose Williams, age 79, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was born in Willis Creek, Ohio on July 28, 1936 to the late George and Doris (Richard) Gress. Martha is a 1955 graduate of Adamsville High School.
She worked for Edmont and Johnsons before retiring. On December 23, 1959 she married Edward Williams who passed away on February 20, 2015. Martha’s husband Edward was a pastor in Coshocton County for over 30 years and they attended many churches in the area. She enjoyed gardening; could fix just about anything, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Martha is survived by her children, Steve (Gloria) Williams of Florida, Shawna (Mike) McCoun of West Lafayette, and Kimberly (Tony) Barcus of Cooperdale who were her caregivers for many years; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Wiggins of West Lafayette, Garnett (Beryl) Cox of Tindal, Violet (Harold) Everwine of Coshocton, and Beth Green of Newark; one brother, John (Glora) Gress; sister-in-law, Shirley Gress of Coshocton, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Martha is preceded in death by her brother, Junior Gress.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 12:30-1:00pm on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
