Michael Francis Chapman

Mike was a 1961 graduate of Sacred Heart, where he remained a lifelong member of the church. He attended Ohio University before beginning a successful career in sales, working for both Anchor Hocking and The Chrysler Corporation.

On January 2, 1965, Mike married the love of his life, Barbara (Bordenkircher) Chapman. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, friendship, and many cherished memories.

During his time living in Florida, Mike especially enjoyed walking along the beach and making memories at Disney World with his family. He also loved attending car shows, visiting Amish country, and gathering with friends. Above all, Mike treasured the simple moments he shared with Barbara, especially their quiet mornings together over several cups of coffee.

Mike is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Craig Chapman of Newark and Jenna (fiancé Jordan Mcquinn) Norris of Heath; his grandchildren, Casey Chapman, Nicholas (Virginia) Chapman, Avery Norris, Carson Norris, and Ethan Norris; his great-grandchildren, Miles, Lily, Grayson, and Clay; and his brother-in-law, Jimm Alvarez, along with a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Tara Chapman; and his sister, Patricia Alvarez.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
