
Randy Stewart, 58, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 with his family by his side after a 10 year battle with cancer. Randy lived his life as a champion on the tennis court as well as in life, loving his Savior, wife, and daughter.
Randy was born May 26, 1955 in Coshocton to the late Kenneth and Gertrude Stewart. He graduated from River View High School in 1973 where he was an outstanding athlete and a class officer. Randy was the owner of Stewart Interiors where he spent his entire professional life upholding the well-known reputation of the family business. Randy was a perfectionist with an overwhelming desire to satisfy each customer on every job.
Randy is survived by his wife Betty Jo, the love of his life for 22 years; daughter, Rachel, his pride and joy; two brothers, Mike (Yvonne) Stewart, of Coshocton, and Denny (Kathy) Stewart, of Frazeysburg; countless family, friends, tennis buddies, customers, classmates, and neighbors around Coshocton and throughout Central Ohio. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Greg Stewart, and sister-in-law, Sheri Stewart.
Randy was an avid tennis player who competed at the highest levels for many years in the Central Ohio region. He also loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, rarely missing a game. In business, sports and throughout his battle with cancer, Randy was always very competitive, but he would always value relationships first, encouraging others in any circumstance. Life was always good with Randy. He will forever be remembered for his love, smile and vigor for life. Randy was an amazing person to all those who knew him.
Calling hours will be at Given-Dawson Funeral Home, 186 Park Ave., Coshocton, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm, and at the church one hour prior to the service. Funeral Services will be held at Coshocton Christian Tabernacle, 23891 Airport Road, Coshocton, on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jason Diaz officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Church Cemetery.
