Robert Gail Mendenhall

Robert G. “Bobby” Mendenhall, age 75, of Lafayette Pointe Nursing Facility in West Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Grant Hospital following a brief illness. Bobby was born on April 5, 1940 to the late Emmar and Buelah (Muse) Mendenhall. Bobby was a long time paper carrier for the Columbus Dispatch and was greatly appreciated by his many customers.

Bobby is survived by several cousins and special friend and longtime helper, Ed Chapdelaine and good friend Jim Griffith. Along with his beloved parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his special friends, Lorena Sims, Jim Collins, and Ed Swayer. Bobby was served by guardians, Harold Hunt, Jim Griffith, Jim Collins, and William Owens. Bobbie was truly grateful for the help he received by his friends in West Lafayette, at Lafayette Pointe and Hopewell Industries.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Fairfield Cemetery with Revered William E. Buckeye officiating.
