Rollin R. Moats, 89, of Coshocton passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013. He was born in Coshocton County on October 13, 1923, the son of the late Esther and Ida Mae (Ramsey) Moats. Rollin was in the United States Army Air Corps serving his country from February 1943-October 1945 during World War II. On February 8, 1947, he married Angelina Moats, who preceded him in death on January 31, 1996. He worked for 38 years at St. Regis paper mill and two years at Pretty Products. Rollin was a member of the Park United Methodist Church, American Legion, and VFW 1330. He was a hard worker, avid bowler, and loved bingo. Rollin is survived by his three children, Robert Moats of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Michael (Jami Helmick) Moats of Coshocton, and Laurel (Linda Raniger) Moats of Coshocton; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Rollin is preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Kenneth, and Lester Moats; and one sister, Hazel Foster. Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 5-7pm and one hour prior to the time of service on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
