Shirley Turner

Shirley graduated from Polytechnic High School in Long Beach California and attended Long Beach State College and the University of Denver where she was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta National Sorority.

Shirley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Orange, California and a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Coshocton.

On March 20, 1951, she married Richard T. Turner who survives; she is also survived by her daughter, Janet (Mark) Ellert of Vernon, Connecticut; sister-in-law, Nancy J. Shook of Rochester Hills, Michigan; brother-in-law, Harold “Butch” Turner of West Lafayette and several nieces and nephews.

Per Shirley’s request, a graveside service will be held in South Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 11:00 am with Pastor Craig Redecker officiating. There will be no public visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of Coshocton, 305 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812, Coshocton County Animal Shelter, 21755TR 164 Morgan Run Road, Coshocton, Ohio 43812, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
