Wilma fought a courageous and heroic battle with MS, and tackled it the same way she approached everything in life: in her words, “Time to Cowgirl up.”
In 1989, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, and in 1996, a Registered Nurse. Wilma served as a longtime Trauma Nurse and Director of Nursing for many years.
On May 6, 2017, she married Robert Gross, who preceded her in death on February 2, 2022.
Wilma was an incredibly caring and loving woman who devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. Beyond her devotion to family, Wilma had a passion for music, particularly music that inspired her to dance, as well as meditation and working out. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Melissa (Mike) McPeek of Coshocton, Richard (Dana) Stull of Uhrichsville, and Anthony (Jessica) Gross of West Lafayette; her grandchildren, Gabby McPeek, Jaden McPeek, Jordan McPeek, Arianna (Alex) Gardner, Lincoln (David) Dunigan, Larissa Stull, Braylee Stull, Thea Gross, and Odin Gross; and her great-grandchildren, Bentley Reynolds, Aspen Gardner, Kyson McPeek, Asher Howell, Zaylen Johns, and Hayze Johns. She is also survived by her brothers, Jerry (Katie) Stout of New Philadelphia, Donald Stout of Midville, George Stout of Minerva, and Roger Stout of Coshocton; her sisters, Brenda Sutton of Carrollton and Wanda (Paul) Stull of Gnadenhutten; alongside several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Destiny Stull; her brother, Wesley Stout; her brother-in-law, Thomas Sutton; her sisters-in-law, Margaret Stout, Vonda Stout, and Lisa Stout; her nephews, Donald Stout Jr. and Roger Stout Jr.; her nieces, Jamie Stout and Sabrina Sutton; and great-nephew, JW.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.
