It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Carmen Ocampo, who left us on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Carmen came to the United States at the age of 24 in search of new opportunities, and in doing so, built a life centered around love, family, and generosity. She was married to her husband for 56 years, and together they raised four children.
Carmen was the heart of her family. She had a kind and giving spirit, always putting others before herself and never hesitating to lend a hand or offer support. She had a unique way of staying connected with everyone, always in tune with the lives, joys, and challenges of her loved ones.
She loved cooking and creating beautiful decorative baskets and arrangements. Known as the family’s 'doctor,' she was always ready with advice on what medicine to take or which remedy would make us feel better. She also loved calling us daily, just to check in and hear our voices.
Carmen will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love, warmth, and strength will live on in all of us. She will be remembered for the way she connected with others, her endless generosity, and her unconditional love.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Francisco, her four children, her nine grandchildren, and her six great-grandchildren.
